The Vermont Association for Psychoanalytic Studies (VAPS) is a local chapter of Division 39 of the American Psychological Association. Division 39 – the Society for Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychology – represents professionals who are committed to the study, practice, and development of psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

VAPS provides a forum for local professionals of any discipline interested in psychoanalytic ideas, offering an active membership community, a newsletter, a listserv, and several speaker events per year featuring leaders in the field.
